The Royal Wedding and other random thoughts

Okay as many of you out there are probably as sick of hearing about the royal wedding as I am I will make it brief I LOVE KATE'S WEDDING DRESS!! like I actually want a similar one if i ever get married. It is without a doubt Grace Kelly inspired and Grace Kelly is amazing and had a GORGEOUS wedding dress as well.
Kate and William at the Wedding
I didn't actually watch any of the footage from the wedding but all the pics from it look amazing and Kate definitely makes a gorgeous bride :) I can't lie this guy should have done the wedding though:from Princess Bride.
Grace Kelly was definitely a more serene looking bride but I think both looked amazing on their big day
Britain’s Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, kiss as they stand on the balcony at Buckingham Palace with other members of the Royal Family, after their wedding in Westminster Abbey, in central London April 29, 2011. Prince William married his fiance, Kate Middleton, in Westminster Abbey on Friday. Also seen are (L-R) bridesmaids Grace van Cutsem, Margarita Armstrong-Jones and pageboys Tom Pettifer and William Lowther-Pinkerton.
(is it just me or does the flower girl in the left corner look totally depressed and bored out of her mind or what!? HAHAHA)

Anyways thats all I am going to say on that matter hahaha...:)

I'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun

Hey All!

So I am still trying to will spring/summer into existence here in good ol' CANADA...it hasn't been so successful as of yet..I keep waking up with snow on the ground...not cool.

I am pretty excited for this weekend though because its General Conference this weekend and thats pretty exciting! :) Its the 181st Annual conference of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day saints. In my house we watch the conference from home on our television. Its also a tradition that we have a chip dip that we refer to as "conference dip" which we only have when there is conference and it is absolutely amazing!! :) It is this amazing dip that has sour cream, cream cheese, shredded cheese, green and black olives, red and green peppers and a bunch of other things that just makes it simply the best chip dip ever!! :)

Anyways other than the amazing food that we partake in during General conference we also get to listen the the prophet Thomas S. Monson and the apostles of the Lord. What is interesting I find about the current prophet President Thomas S. Monson is that he has special ties to Canada having served here as mission president for a while. He also helped with the conversion of my grandparents therefore allowing the rest of my family to be exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ :).

Another reason that I am excited for the conference and that my Best Friend Julie has been bothering me to blog about for a while is my new scriptures :) Now to understand why I got new scriptures I think its fitting that you should know a little about my old scriptures and why this is such an event (getting new scriptures that is). My old scriptures were so awesome! :) I had them through Seminary, EFY(Especially for Youth), my trip to the Dominican Republic with AYS(Alliance for youth Services), Youth Leadership Conference, and China. So they were my scriptures all through teenage years. Now that I am 20 though and they are falling apart I finally had to agree that it was time to get new ones. Anyways new scriptures are kinda like starting with a blank canvas and it is super exciting!

Well I need to take off and help my family out with food preparation for conference but I will try to write again soon!

I have the most AMAZING dogs ever!!;)

Me and my boy Hobbes!
The last photo I ever took of Emma

Emma Lou Kennedy: she was our first dog. A neighbour sold her to us after they bought a boat and decided that they couldn't bring her with them when they went out boating.
She was one crazy puppy chewing on the trim on the walls, chewing my fathers socks, jumping up and down at the kitchen window at our house in Barrie, tunnelling through the snow in the front yard, scaring my brother so much that he full out ran into a pole (LOL still cracks me up!! HAHHA), caring around her penguin toy around until it literally fell to pieces, trying to bring the mice she caught into the house, digging holes under the fence, making friends with anyone or anything that would let her (she loved cats and became very good friends with a large golden retriever in puppy school :) ). We often joked that Emma was a reincarnated old italian lady because she absolutely LOVED italian food and she also loved to poke around in our garden in the back yard and sometimes even chew on some of the plants hahaha.
Emma was also a great adoptive mother to our two other dogs she saved Hobbes' life more times than I can count, she taught Hobbes how to walk on the stairs, walking up and down them and encouraging him until Hobbes followed suit and followed her lead :). Emma kept all the other dogs in line.
One time me and my mom were in the kitchen and my mom had just given Emma a chicken treat (which were one of her favourites) and I guess she was just so excited to get her favourite treats that she swallowed it practically whole...then proceed to hack it up and eat it again....to this day all I have to do is walk into a room and make a hacking throw-up sound like the one Emma made that day and my mom bursts out into laughter...grossest thing i have ever experienced LOL ...probably doesn't sound as funny as it actually was witnessing it but its just one of many funny memories I have of Emma.

One time when I was watching a movie in my room with Emma lying beside me on the couch she sat up in the middle of what I remember being a very "moving" part of the film (no idea what I was watching. Emma just let out this huge burp....I was shocked I didn't even know dogs could burp....but I remember just looking at her a bit shocked and a bit appalled and her just looking at me with a look of "what are you looking at?" hahahahha it was just so typical Emma.
Emma loved playing "hockey" with empty water bottles and distributing looks of distain to creatures she felt to be of lesser intelligence to her (she was kinda like a cat like that sometimes).

Emma always loved my dad best and my dad use to claim that he didn't like her but now he will admit she was his dog, the dog he loved the most. she was just such a kind hearted and loving dog that I don't think anyone who met her didn't almost immediately like her, she just had such a strong personality. :) she is very missed by all, but I hear all dogs go to heaven :) she was and still is very loved by all her family and friends :).

Hobbes Kennedy: Hobbes is our second dog and the only boy (he is my boy love him to bits!). Hobbes also has a very distinct personality he is such a little gentlemen he loves to cuddle and he loves attention. He greets everyone in the morning with the cutest little howl-like sound ever! its adorable!
It probably sounds really weird but Hobbes is a bit self conscious. In fact the first time we took him to get a haircut he was so embarrassed he went and hid as soon as we got home. Hobbes loves his toy duck and running show.
Hobbes loves to come hangout downstairs with me during the evenings and it makes my brother super jealous because he knows Hobbes loves me more than him hahahaha!. Apparently while I was in China my mom would be talking to me on Skype and Hobbes would hear my voice over the speakers and go all crazy and go looking for me, Love that dog!
My dad thinks Hobbes is a super tense and uptight dog and that he is so uptight that he poops marbles  hahaha which is true
in a way but he is also super lax and fun when he trusts you.
When we first got Hobbes he didn't like me very much he would bark and me and go all crazy at me. But after he went through surgery and I took care of him we became friends.

Coco Kennedy: My mom found her in a pet shop and insisted I should go see her. I instantly fell in love with her and bought her. She is so cute and just a little rag doll. We got along right along right away.
But anyways thats pretty much all I feel like writing right now but in conclusion my dogs are awesome! and I am so lucky to have gotten the the most adorable and awesome dogs ever!

Everybody dies but not everybody lives

Okay so basically yesterday I promised my best friend I would blog today so here goes:

A lot has happened since the last time I sat down and really put effort into a blog entry but in my defence I have had a pretty hectic life the last few months to say the least and anyone who knows me really well knows how true that statement is....But anyways, I had a really great winter. I am currently trying to will spring into existence because I am tired of the cold and want to enjoy all the outdoor activities that really just are not as do-able in the winter months. I have started to play basketball again though in my free time which is way awesome! never realized how much i missed playing until now. Also I am finished school this friday and will be on the job hunt again very soon so that I can make some dough before I have to go back to school again :P

I know this entry is kinda lame but I wanted to keep my promise to my best friend and at least post something hahaha but once again I really should be taking off because I am super tired and have another busy day of work and school coming up tomorrow!

And any man who knows a thing knows, he knows not a damn, damn thing at all

So I have been trying to get things together. I start my PSW class today and I will be doing that for the next 28 weeks from 6-10pm plus my clinical placement time. So I will be being kept pretty busy I think. The first topic I am learning about is Individuality of the Person. I got my nursing shoes today..they are not great looking but they are New Balance running shoes and well I have a special place in my heart for new Balance running shoes..i have a pair that I have had for years through my time in the Dominican Republic til my time in china :P and they are in amazing condition and I love them ahha :)

I also went to Chapters and got a Mandarin basic course set so I am going to be working on that a little every day. Hopefully I will be able to catch on quick :).

There is a lot I miss about China..well mainly the people and I miss all the memories. I am already feeling the itch to travel again...I wonder if I will ever stop feeling that. I think the thing is that I love meeting new people, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and creating memories. I just have to keep focus for my next 7 months in school which might be kinda tough for me but I am going to have to try to distract myself as much as possible I suppose. Me and school just do not get along..its weird because I love learning new things but doing the same thing everyday really takes a toll on me so hopefully this provides enough variety in routine for me or I might be a total nut case for the next 7 months and no one wants to deal with me when I am like that haha.
I am still on the job search. I hopefully will find something soon..money always helps haha...especially when your as my Grandma Wagar always calls me a "Dreamer" :P hey yeah of course I am a little unrealistic sometimes but I am young dang it! haha plus if your not going to dream big why bother dreaming at all, thats what I think anyways :P

Nursing..who would have thunk it :P

Hey all!

so its really weird being home but I really am adjusting quickly. I had a week of hanging out with the Marchand's and having fun but now its time to get down to work for me. I went to Everest College and I actually got goosebumps while I was looking around the school...It just felt like I was making the right choice and that I was doing the right thing.I will be taking the Personal Support Worker Program. I will be in school for 29 weeks and then I will be done my PSW training and then I have about 3 months to work and save up for university and I will hopefully be going to the University of Toronto for International Development!! On top of all this I am on the job hunt and really need a full time job! so hopefully I will find one soon!

Yeah so thats the watered down version of an update on my life :P I will try to write more soon!
